Trim the ends off of the asparagus.
Add 1 tbs of butter to a large sauce pan. Heat to medium high and add in your asparagus.
Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring.
Add in water and vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
Add in pasta, and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until most of the liquid is gone.
If you notice that liquid is disappearing quickly, and pasta isn’t quite cooked yet, add a little more water or broth.
Add the rest of your butter, tomatoes and grated cheese. Stir.
Continue to cook for 2-3 more minutes and add your seasonings to taste.
