Wash & cut mushrooms into coin shaped pieces (about 1/4 of an inch thick)
Optional: slice x’s in mushrooms with knife
Heat oil in a large skillet on medium heat and add garlic cloves
Heat this for about 3-4 minutes.
When you start to smell the garlic, then remove the cloves.
Now, add in your butter. Once butter is sizzling, add your mushrooms in a single layer.
Cook mushrooms on one side for about 5-7 minutes and then flip to cook on the other side for 5 minutes. Let mushrooms cook without flipping or mixing too much.
Mushrooms will brown around the edges.
Once mushrooms are browned around the edges, and lighter brown in the center, they are done.
Serve mushrooms with lemon slice and herbs, and a sprinkle of salt to taste.
*I used garlic sea salt I had on hand, which is a little thicker. Any sea salt will be great, but regular salt will work too.
