Almond Pesto Penne

  • 2 cups penne

  • ½ cups almonds

  • 2 cups basil

  • 2/3 cup olive oil

  • 1 tbs salt

  • 2 cloves garlic

  1. Cook penne according to package instructions

  2. Make pesto:

    • combine almonds, salt and garlic in food processor and pulse until almonds are finely chopped.

    • Add basil and oil slowly and food process for about 30 seconds until smooth

  3. Add ¼ cup pasta water to make a little thinner.

  4. Combine pasta and pesto sauce and done!
